Fillies and FemalesFillies and Females by Bev Pettersen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY

In this story we get to read about horse trainer, Dino from the book Color My Horse. Dino is a ladies man and will never get tangled up in a relationship after his bitter divorce. His life belongs to horses and one night stands. Becky is a nurse hired to take care of Martha, a horse owner with a failing health. When Martha asks Becky to be her eyes and ears at the stables, Becky discovers a love for horses and love for a certain hot trainer.

THOUGHTS

I love this series as the author’s talent shines through each story being told. Dino is sexy and Becky is shy and not confident and learns to let go of past fears and rejection. Becky and Martha's relationship becomes more than Becky just being her nurse. Martha becomes the family Becky has not experience being in foster care as a child. It's fun to see Becky shed her shyness and makes Dino drool over her, my absolute favorite scene was the stall scene!! The story also holds another plot with a manipulative nephew and Slim's sad story. A great series and great job to Bev Patterson on what I think is an excellent series.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Jessica is a retired injured skier and is forced to go home to live with her rich grandfather. Jessica lost her career and her boyfriend, if that's not bad enough, her grandfather wants her to work for him. Jessica wants to open a dog grooming business and her grandfather challenges her to work for 6 weeks at the racetrack horse stables and then he will fund her business. Mark is a trainer at the stables and is not happy when he gets a call from one of his most important horse owners to baby sit his granddaughter who knows nothing about horses. Mark doesn't think she will last and that's just as well because he doesn't need a sexy woman distracting him like his father did. Mark soon becomes pleasantly surprised at how quick Jessica learns the ropes and soon enough Jessica is bringing some color to the stables and love to his heart.

THOUGHTS

I loved this book! Mark was such a sexy strong character and Jessica is adorable and determined to prove to everyone that she can do this! I loved the chemistry and the underlying sexual tension between these two characters. This book also takes on some suspenseful twists and turns into the world of horse racing. The secondary characters are well developed and add to the overall story. I look forward to reading more books from this author. Thank you for a well written and enjoyable book.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Maggie is dating Jeffrey who later proposes to her. To celebrate their engagement, Jeffrey, took Maggie to British Columbia on a ski trip. While there, Maggie meets Taylor who is a well known skier at the mountain. As her feelings for Jeffrey changed, she finds her feelings for Taylor exciting but a bit of a challenge.

THOUGHTS

I actually like this book. It was nice, sweet and touching. Maggie thought her life was ok although Jeffrey isn't acting like the man she wants him to be. After graduating from college, her then boyfriend, Jeffrey, proposes. I thought Jeffrey was very much a jerk who I did not care for. He is a TV producer who always gets what he wants. Maggie was very young but still realizes that maybe Jeffrey isn't the one for her on their ski trip. The moment Maggie meets Taylor it felt different and was a pleasure to read. Jeffrey wouldn't give up and Taylor's friends were a bit weary of Maggie. But their attraction for each other prevailed.

The accident was tragic and brought out a different pace. What happen towards the end with Taylor was very hart warming, along with who he saw in the light and what he did for his friend. I really enjoyed the ending and the epilogue.

As the story progress I felt the pace was the same throughout the storyline which dip and peaked at times; however, still a likable love story.

To Love and Trust Again To Love and Trust Again by Anna James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY
Three years ago Molly had the prefect boyfriend named, Dan. After a discovery she walked out on Dan and hasn’t seen him since. Molly is now moving on with her life and has accepted a job opening at an Engineering firm. While at the firm, she discovers that she will be working with Dan and he wants her back. However, Molly is torn after she meets Max.

THOUGHTS

This was another mellow romance by Anna James that I liked. Molly’s dilemma between Dan and Max, now that she is currently working at Bennett Engineering was interesting. On one side, Dan was an ex boyfriend and there were still a bit of lingering feelings, although Dan wasn’t the guy she remembered him to be. One the other, there was Max, a sexy and dominating presence. Watching Molly’s feelings unfold was a nice journey as we are seeing her learning to trust and love again. However, I personally felt the pace within the middle lagged a bit for me but it did pick right back up within no time.

Likable characters and an interesting love triangle with misunderstandings made this an interesting read for me.

BRIEF SUMMARY
After high school Lexi had to take care of her father and put college on hold. After ten years she is ready to take on a new job and start living her life. She finds a job at an advertising company that she later found out is run by Vincent, her high school crush. Vincent doesn’t really remember Lexi from high school but having feelings for Lexi, Vincent is reluctant to let down his guard.

THOUGHTS

Loved this story, but it came with a few buts for me. Up front, I loved the beginning of this story as the author started out showing Lexi’s last day of school. Lexi’s character is very shy and fitting for the part in the book. Reading about her at twenty eight, her character reminds of the movie Working Girl with Melanie Griffith’s character. I liked Vincent. He was annoyed and angry most of the time; however, both characters meshed well. Although Lexi’s feelings toward Vincent were clear throughout the book, it took more than half of the book before anything really was established. Sean and Hope’s story was enjoyable along with a few likable and not so likeable characters. Sean was Vincent’s friend and co worker and Hope was Lexi’s best friend.

I felt after the gala the story took a bit of a dive for me. It was a long and full length novel, so there were moments that went in and out for me that cause my interest to dwindle a few times. At times, I feel that novels that are so long and detailed can get lost a bit. I don’t dispute this isn’t a good story but the pace was not to my liking. But I loved the characters and the storyline. I was a bit disappointed with the intimacy because this book was in the category of erotica.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Bernadette's life is spinning out of control! She losses a child, her husband leaves her, she hates her job, and her father dies unexpectedly. These painful experiences are sending her into a depression. Can she get her life back on track?

THOUGHTS

This story is one of inspiration after dealing with many of life's unfortunate mishaps. This book will make you laugh, cry and hope that Bernie will get it together. After her father dies suddenly, he leaves behind a box of cryptograms which become inspiring messages while Bernie is dealing with her grief. Enough is enough and Bernie begins to slowly get her life back in order and begins her healing for her losses and forgiveness for those who have done her wrong. Family, friends and strangers help her along the way.

This book took me on a rollercoaster ride of grief, humor and joy, but I was rooting Bernie on all the way! The cryptograms were so inspiring (actually wrote some down). The title also was fitting, turning your life around and Chasing Rainbows.

I think the author did a wonderful job with the storyline.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Angel has dealt with issues for the past sixteen years when she had to give her baby up for adoption. These issues have left her secluding herself off from the outside world. Mitch has always tried to make up for what his family did to Angel since they were younger. Over the years nothing seems to work with Angel, so Mitch is fed up with trying. With Cara and Gray’s pending wedding, maybe Angel will have a change of heart.

THOUGHTS

I liked ‘Finally Satisfied’; the title was surely fitting for the story line. The mood of this story felt a bit different from the first two books, but it was still very much likeable for me and with a sweet and wonderful conclusion to the series. As I mentioned before in my review for Perfectly Satisfied (Satisfaction) , I would advise the reader to read book 1 and 2 first, that way, you have a feel for the characters and a better understanding of everyone's story so you won’t feel lost with knowing each character.

The story continues as Angel’s sister Cara and Mitch’s cousin Gray from Satisfaction Guaranteed are planning their wedding. With this wedding, it forces Angel to interact with Mitch as she doesn’t want to be around him because of their history. Why I felt the way I did about the mood of the storyline for the third installment was Angel’s story and issues dealing with adoption and giving up her baby felt serious for me in what she was dealing with. However, seeing her unfold bit by bit was also good to read. I definitely fell in love with Mitch because he wanted what was best for her and he went above and beyond for her, even though she frustrated him at times. But his determination towards her was very heart warming to read.

The author also gave us all the characters/couples we’ve been reading about since book one, Cara and Gray along with Sam and Regina and I enjoyed seeing them all. This was a nice novella series and I enjoyed the journey of all the characters. I could see myself re-reading this series in a few months again.

Mad About the BoyMad About the Boy by Suzan Battah
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brief Summary

Julia meets Christophe (Chris) Augustine under chance circumstances in the local supermarket. They have an instant attraction, an attraction Julia hasn't felt in a long time since her husband Carlos died. Julia is a designer and is contracted by The Augustine Hotel to do some renovations, unaware to Julia, Chris owns the Augustine. Chris tries to pursue a relationship with Julia but she is fearful of losing someone else she loves. Can a fearful woman and two workaholics develop a relationship, I think so....

Thoughts

This story started off sweet with an interesting storyline. Chris is determined to get to know Julia better but feels like she is afraid to get close. Little does he knows that Julia was married before, which he doesn't find out about until way later after they are intimate. The story starts to go all over the place, Julia has a car accident, Chris is trying to adopt his little brother, Julia's mother-in-law is a thorn in her side etc....... Julia tries to push Chris away and he keeps coming back for more! And when he tries to be tough with Julia he whimps out! I thought the island scene or the gala opening at the Augustine or even Chris's 30th birthday party were good scenes!!! I also liked how Julia would curse in her native tongue (Spanish) when she got really frustrated and Chris would speak romantically to her in French.

All in all, I liked the story line. I thought the story got a bit repetitious with them not having time to be together due to working so much. Also, they both had secrets and they were not revealed until way after they were in a relationship. You felt Chris's need to protect Julia at all times and she begins to let go of her fear and finally allows Chris to love her.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Lauren divorced her ex husband and decides to settle in a small town leaving everything she has known behind. Where she decides to stay for a while, she meets Tatum, biker and part owner of the bar she now works. Tatum and Lauren seem to keep butting heads after dealing with his insults and moods. Lauren also finds out that Tatum is a bounty hunter after a serial killer is now lurking in the town of Carnal.

THOUGHTS

I really like this book and like reading about a moody possessive biker bounty hunter, but it also gave me a headache. I definitely liked the whole biker scene and the bar and the other scenery the author created. With all of the added scenery here comes Lauren, who is like a fish out of water that seems to not belong. I think the author did a good job showing back and forth of Tatum and Lauren’s relationship along with the other characters. The serial killings were an added plus to keep the story interesting.

What really got to me was the length of the story which is 16000 KB and other details within the story. I just think certain things weren’t needed, thus, stretching out an already good story. It really frustrated me and my enjoyment of the story. Either way I stilled liked it.

In It To Win ItIn It To Win It by Morgan Kearns

BRIEF SUMMARY
Jane knew Grayson most of her life, most of it throughout her awkward stages back in high school. She isn't too fond of seeing him again because of their past, but she needs to interview him for her job as a sportscaster. Grayson is the superstar baseball player bad boy. He plans to reconnect with Jane.

THOUGHTS
If sweet and romance had a baby, this book would be the finished product. Personally, this book was so so so sweet and romantic that you wouldn't expect that from a sexy cover. When I read the product preview I already had an idea in my head what the story will be, but it definitely took an exciting turn that I enjoyed. Grayson is officially in my top 10 romance book hunks. He was so vulnerable that it made him seem sexy. Jane was enjoyable to read, she had some high and low emotions that drove Grayson a little crazy at times. The first chapter definitely gets your attention; thereafter, their progress throughout the book was that of a cat and mouse game because of an unfinished past. The second half of the book definitely had an interesting twist with a demented character, this added to the excitement of the read. There were so many lovable characters that the author gave us that you can't help but fall in love with them; Nate, Grayson's mom and a few more. However, Xavier, what a nice piece of raw meat, he is Grayson's teammate and needs his own story A.S.A.P.

I have so my favorite moments that I wish I could list, but if I listed them all I would be giving too much of the story away. I almost cry at one of my favorite it was so sweet. I always say it and I'm saying it again, romances of old high school crushes that reunites never gets old I love them.

BRIEF SUMMARY
David runs his family company; however, he needs a wife to impress the board of directors when his uncle steps down. The perfect candidate, Jenna. Jenna works in accounting and is up to her neck in debts. She is approached and offered a business arrangement that includes marriage for two years to David.

THOUGHTS
Another great read for me by the author. I have read all of Lynda Chance’s books so far, and you either like her style or you don’t. Nevertheless, there are many styles similar, but I think for the readers that loves her work, it’s her infamous formula of chisel, sexy, controlling, and irritated alpha male, along with sweet, shy girl that pulls the reader in. Once again, it came through this book and entertained me.

This cover may look innocent, but don't judge a book by its cover. We have two interesting characters that needs different things that the other can offer. In the beginning, the story gave us a bit of each character. However, their first interaction definitely gave you a bit of excitement of what is to come throughout the story. Physically, they were explosive; this is where a bit of David’s controlling side comes out. With their back and forth dilemma of the arrange marriage, once the deed was done, also adds to the appeal of the read. I feel this book by the author was definitely more erotica than her other books.

Perfectly Satisfied (Satisfaction)Perfectly Satisfied by Tori Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY

Regina has been in love with Sam since the third grade. However, being from completely different worlds always came between them. Sam is the billionaire high society guy, while Regina is a struggling business owner who is always low on cash. While on a cruise with their best friends, both have a chance to connect with the other.

THOUGHTS

I am a fan of the first book, 'Satisfaction Guaranteed', and fell in love with all the characters. In addition, after reading 'Perfectly Satisfied', I think it surpass Satisfaction Guaranteed. This story falls in the category of sweet with a dash of Cinderella. The story picks up from the first book, when all the friends decided to go on a cruise; it also felt like a continuation from book one. I would also advise the reader to read book 1 first, that way, you have a feel for the characters and a better understanding of everyone's story.

Sam, poor little rich guy. In romance novels, the millionaires are always so Alpha, but in this story, Sam, was so awkward and clueless and for me, that is what made me fell in love with his character. His way of thinking had a lot to do with his parents and upbringing. Regina was your typical hard worker, who always thought she never fits into Sam's world. Both their chemistry were so fun, sweet, and interesting to read.

As for the other characters, they are what made this book so much more fun to read. Cara and Gray from book one is apart of the story, and still had major roles that didn't detract from the main characters. I am also extremely excited that we were introduced to Mitch and Angel; their roles in the book were interesting and a teaser for book 3. This novella will not disappoint.

Sweetest moment: What Sam did for Regina while watching Cinderella.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Jane is Miranda's friend, and they are usually out together during their nights out. Jane helps fending off the men for Miranda, because she is gorgeous and every guy’s fantasy. With a hot girlfriend like Miranda, Jane wonders how is a girl like her suppose to find her happy ending.

THOUGHTS

Flirts! 5 Romantic Short Stories, is a small collection of stories by the author. Some of the books in the collections are free and the whole collection can be bought together.

This was such a cute and funny story. It almost had a feel and humor of the movie, 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’. And the title of the book says it all as well. Jane and Miranda are friends. Jane always plays wing-man to their nights out, while Miranda is on the prowl. Miranda is the six feet tall blond that's hard to miss in a bar or club, so, on a particular night out; Jane meets Brady, a bartender.

Brady was just such a nice guy, mixed with sexy and the guy next door description mentioned in the book. Jane, was just a regular girl who expect nothing when out with her friend. Their chemistry was fun and enjoyable to read. Brady took Jane out to prove she's hot, but selfishly derails her invites from guys interested in her. I have to applaud the witty excuses and humor in this book, it was the added bonus that made this book interesting. With Brady's derailing tactics, this leaves Jane, a little confuse because he doesn't seem the least bit interested in her. Though this book seems predictable, everything about this short novella was sweet, cute, funny, and even sexy.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Caramia owns Satisfaction Guaranteed. Her business prepares the most romantic seductive scenes for men who can afford it for their women. While finish preparing one of her scenes for her next client she is surprise to see Grayson her old childhood crush. Grayson is back for Caramia so he can collect on a promise made fifteen years ago. If both are single at thirty they would have sex. Caramia never took the promise seriously.

THOUGHTS ( May contain spoilers)
This book is a novella but it came packed with satisfaction guaranteed for the reader that will not disappoint. I loved what the author did by giving us one story while teasing us with another. A clever way to draw the reader in. Although the story is about Caramia and Grayson we got a teaser of Sam and Regina. The book follows four childhood friends who has crushes on each other. The first chapter sets the pace for the story as the author dove in and entertain us the moment the scene starts. Grayson was sexy and sweet and Caramia was enjoyable to read about. As the story progress we got teasers with scenes of Sam, the very rich and clueless playboy and Regina hard working regular girl who has always had a thing for Sam. I eagerly await book 2.

Makenna enters the elevator not paying attention to her surroundings, being a bit distracted; she only glimpsed a muscular arm with a dragon tattoo while entering. The elevator stops then, went pitch black. Cade notices Makenna when she enters the elevator, he does not get to see her face but notices her red hair. He also finds her fidgeting humorous. When the elevator is stuck, for Cade he becomes a bit terrified of the dark because of his past. Both Makenna and Cade will use their time wisely while stuck in the elevator.

This was such a cute book with a dash of sexiness. I loved that Cade is not your typical male alpha in this romance novel. Even though he has his tattoos and piercings, he is shy and always unsure of how people perceive him. His characteristics work well in this particular story and he still seems sexy to me. Makenna is just your average girl who Cade thinks would not go for him because of the way he looks.

I did enjoy both characters getting to know each other while the lights were out in the elevator, it made for an interesting read. I also liked when the lights came back on, that moment was timed perfectly, but after the lights came on AWKWARD! Makenna and Cade had an awkward moment that led to uncertainty but later turns steamy again. I loved the concept of the story and I surely can relate to both characters. I would definitely read another book by this author.

Ryan's Christmas MiracleRyan's Christmas Miracle by Sam Crescent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY
Jemma lost her husband, Simon, to a drunk driver. Now, left with three kids, she has Ryan, she can depend on. Ryan was Simon's best friend. With both trying to get through their ordeal of pain, they are also both trying to figure out their attraction for each other.

THOUGHTS
I really enjoyed the combination of Christmas, family, and sexual tension within this story. Jemma and Ryan's Story was heartwarming. Jemma was still struggling with her husband being gone and the new found feelings she felt for Ryan. I enjoyed reading about her character as her feelings started peeling away. Ryan was very sexy. What added to the appeal of Ryan, was the responsibility he took on with Jemma and her kids, Megan, Billy, and Sean. Ryan has always been in love with Jemma, and his plan was to show her how he has felt for a long time.

Though heartwarming as this story was, the sexual chemistry was not lacking and I also enjoyed it a lot. The epilogue added the final star to my rating as I enjoyed their epilogue; it added a wonderful smile and closure to the story.

BRIEF SUMMARY
Natasha and Jake have hit a roadblock in their marriage. Natasha thought Jake was unfaithful and she is devastated. While away for the Christmas holidays in a cabin, they both will discover the truth.

THOUGHTS

This was an interesting novella that unfolded very quickly. Though Natasha, feels devastated about what she thought Jake did, they both are unable to keep their hands off each other while at the cabin. Later, has everything unfolds and the truth is revealed, I wasn't expecting that twist, and I enjoyed it. It definitely brought the couple closer together for the holidays. I thought the epilogue was sweet and it brought the couple full circle with their life.

Blame it on TexasBlame it on Texas by Tori Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY
Logan has left home since he was eighteen and hasn’t return since. Now that his father has suffered a stroke, he has returned home to help care for him. While back home, he is worried about his daughter Katie. Megan stumbles upon Katie, who has run away from home. When she returns Katie to her father, she falls in love with Logan and his family.

THOUGHTS

This was a mellow and sad at times story. I think the author did a great job building a story around this Texas family. Though the story is about Megan and Logan's growing relationship throughout the story, it is also about Katie and the family. Katie is the daughter of Logan. Katie definitely was a child that was very determined, and had her issues dealing with her parents. Logan has issues, but I think everything for him came full circle towards the end, which includes Megan.

Though I mentioned sad moments, this shouldn't be discouraging, as everything brought the story together that gave me different stages of emotions that I went through.

Shattered Dreams (The Bradford Sisters Trilogy #2)Shattered Dreams by Anna James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY
Natalie and Reed are happy together. They are back from their honeymoon and easing back into everyday life. In the mist of all this, Natalie is pregnant, but soon after, suffers a miscarriage. With the miscarriage comes tension and mistrust with Natalie and Reed's relationship.

THOUGHTS

It was nice reconnecting with all the characters again from Guilty As Charged (The Bradford Sisters Trilogy #1) book1. 'Shattered Dreams' starts out showing a wonderful relationship between Natalie and Reed. As the story starts to unfold and Natalie suffers a miscarriage, mistrust starts to follow the couple. Natalie is working with her new boss, Charles, and Reed is constantly seeing tv reports and gossip about his wife and Charles. This situation leads to an interesting climax within the story surrounding the couple. I also enjoyed the twist that the author gave us with Reed's assistant, Gabriella.

This is a mellow romance, and if you are a fan of that, then you will like this story. I am also looking forward to Kate's story. The author gave us a bit of a teaser and it sounds very tempting.

Bedded by the Boss (Louisiana Liaisons)Bedded by the Boss by Lynda Chance
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

BRIEF SUMMARY
This is the third installment of the author’s series called Louisiana Liaisons; it’s about three divorced friends who decided to meet for a night together but all got detoured. Book1: Seduced by the American Millionaire , book2: Blackmailed Into Bed and book3: Bedded by the Boss. In Bedded by the Boss, Robert newly employs Renee. She leaves her job of 10 years to work for Robert because the pay is better to help with her daughter’s college fund. Robert owns a construction company and is very attracted to Renee. He finds that he is unable to work with her and needs to find away to selfishly make her leave his employ. The book contains explicit sex and language.

THOUGHTS
If you enjoyed Blackmailed into Bed, then you will really like Bedded by the Boss, it does not disappoint. I felt like I was reading a Harlequin Presents book gone wild in a good way. This read was definitely more aggressive with Robert’s strong Alpha male character, and I still loved it. Robert was very sexy, demanding, and possessive; throughout the book Robert makes jealously looks so sexy. Renee surely held her own throughout the book even though Robert made her nervous at times. It was also nice to hear Renee talk and reconnect with Jenny. This read was definitely a tension builder leading up to Robert and Renee’s intimacy. I also enjoyed their tennis match conversation on quitting and firing especially in one particular scene of the book. I personally enjoyed all 3 books and I am glad I read them. I also think James Cameron; the charmer should get his own story, which would definitely be another good read. James was a client of Robert that was also interested in Renee and drove Robert mad with jealously.

I really have no dislikes of the book, I only wish that both Renee and Robert said I love you to each other a little earlier on in the read, but that’s fine I can live with that.

For Love or Legacy (Book 2) (Legacy Collection)For Love or Legacy (Book 2) by Ruth Cardello
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Nicole has just learn the terms of her father's will and isn't happy about it. The will's terms includes her brother, Dominic, that she has a rocky relationship with over the past fifteen years. With her father's passing, the will was not what she thought it would be. Therefore, with the help of her lawyers, she finds a loophole that will allow her to retain the company, and that loophole is Stephan, her brother's rival. Stephan wants revenge against Dominic for bidding and taking his father's company seven years ago. With Nicole's dilemma and his hatred for Dominic, Stephan will use Nicole's situation to his advantage.

This story brought out many lovable characters that added to the book. I enjoyed getting to know Stephan's family right down to Jeff, Nicole's limo driver, what a nice guy. Maddy, Stephan's cousin was so nice and sweet as well as an important key in bringing Nicole and Stephan together. I really enjoyed reconnecting with Abby and Dominic again in book 2. We also got to read in-depth why Nicole and Dominic's relationship was the way it is which was good, also an explanation seven years prior on what really happen with the deal between Dominic and Victor, Stephan's father. Stephan and Nicole's relationship was like a roller coaster ride but very entertaining to read as well. Their romance, dare I say felt as though I was watching a movie on the TV channel WE or maybe lifetime while reading and picturing everyone in my head. It was sweet and it had that harlequin presents feel which isn't a bad thing, and probably is a bit better than a HP. If you were a fan of the first book then the author does not disappoint with book2. If you were not a fan then I would still recommend this book to you.

Though Maid for the Billionaire, book 1 is free this book has a reasonable price and worth every penny. As for Jake & Lilly's story, I am going to have serious withdrawal waiting until summer of next year 2012 if I read it correctly for the next book. That is my only disappointment.

Heather and her best friend Brenda has been friends since their teenage years. She has also been in love and has fantasized about her best friend's brother, Brad, for a long time. The feeling is mutual for Brad as well but both are too worried about their friendship and Brenda's reaction. With a friend’s wedding coming up Brenda has convinced Heather to go on a manhunt at the wedding for a hot sexy guy that can give her her first human contact orgasm. Brad hearing this feels it is his duty to protect Heather since he has known her like a sister. Overtime both Brad and Heather will begin a little secret affair that will excite them both.

This was a short novella but it was so very cute, sweet, and sexy. I do find myself in love with stories about old childhood crushes that later connects in adulthood. This read was not an erotica but it was still very much enjoyable with the author throwing in sexy scenes. I did enjoy Heather's Basic instinct /Sharon Stone moment with Brad, definitely sexy. I also enjoyed the limo ride and the wedding storage room scene. It also had the perfect ending.

Temptation In Texas: Mike and Megan (Contemporary Short Story)Temptation In Texas: Mike and Megan by Lynda Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a novella that is really short. But don't let the novella aspect discourage you, it was a little out there in a good way for me and sexy.I definitely like the author's style of writing, its personally what I look for in some of my books and I enjoy it.

Megan is working at a restaurant in Dallas, when she catches the eye of sexy Texan, Mike. For Mike, Megan was not like the other waitresses and that immediately had Mike turned on. He decides to hold her hostage in a good way in the bathroom and you will need to read the rest because after that it was steamy.

I look at this read as a fantasy. The things that happen in this novella had me thinking, I am not bold enough to do what Megan did, but I'm bold enough to read it. Megan of course was naive but add Mike in the mix and they had the book steaming. I didn't like the abrupt ending; I wish it could have went on and on and see what happens. I can't wait to read more from the author.

PS: You know who you are, if your reading this THANK YOU! for including me.

Daring To Trust (Indigo Girls)Daring To Trust by Trisha Wilson

http://www.romancenoveljunkies.com / for book lovers and readers.

BRIEF SUMMARY

Julia has been happily married to Mark. However, with issues that arises, Mark never return home. It’s now four years later and he wants Julia to give him a second chance at their marriage.

THOUGHTS

Mark and Julia’s story was very mellow with even a bit of action. Their story was about finding each other again and reconnecting. Mark definitely ran away from his problems, which hurt Julia, and left her picking up the pieces. After four years, he knew something was missing in his life and it was Julia. With Mark being a cop, coming back home, he brought back danger with him. Dealing with Julia and their relationship, repairing friendships, and dealing with an ex con, Mark has a handful.

This was a nice read and I think the author did a good job bringing Mark and Julia together. I also liked that Mark had to set things right with Julie's family as well.

Handcuffed to the Sheikh (Novella)Handcuffed to the Sheikh by Teresa Morgan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maxine was home when a stranger pushes his way in, handcuffs her, and then kidnaps her. The kidnaper is Sayd. After stalking and watching Maxine, Sayd takes her to a cabin and keeps insisting that she knows him but she has no clue who he is other than he is crazy. In time, Maxine begins to realize a few things.

This was a quick read, it started out ok but got better the more I read. While reading, I am definitely trying to wrap my head around what is going on. I kept thinking it could not be a twin, mistaken identity or maybe the same name as someone else. However, Sayd was positively sure it was his Maxine. The ending was good as well; a good quick read.

Sarah is a young widow with a young son Josh. She leads a simply life until Bad Boy Mike, her teenage crush has moved back to town with his teenage daughter. Mike has moved back home to better help raise his daughter Lindsey and settle into father hood. Both Sarah and Mike will need each other to get through their issues, a special request and help raise their kids.

This book was was sooooo sweet, like really sweet. It had me smiling at some scenes and a little sad in others. The author incorporated characters that made this story very nice. Sarah was really nice, Mike was cute and a bad boy dad with a bike and the kids Josh and Lindsey were surely used in the book that added that boost to it. I liked the storyline between Lindsey and her dad, it was great seeing there relationship do a 360. Also Lindsey and Thomas not really much there but how cute was that. Thomas was Lindsey's crush. If your really into that classical light romance then this is for you. I love the ending, it had the Parent Trap movie moment.

The only thing I was thinking about that maybe should have been addressed with out spoiling it for the reader. Sarah asked Mike for a special request, because of what happen to her. Even though she wanted his help which is ok, I found myself wondering how she got through her issue with her first husband?

Teasing TrentTeasing Trent by Minx Malone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a novella, so it got to the point right away. Of course you wish most novellas that you like can be longer but this read was still fun.

Trent has been best friends with Matt since college. And since then, he has always had a thing for Matt's twin sister Mara. While Matt is away he asks Trent to keep and eye on his sister and to also take her out for her birthday. Trent isn't looking forward to this as he is trying to keep his hands off Mara. Mara invites Trent over and she decided that she is going to take what she has been waiting for since college.

This was a cute read for me There are a lot of good novellas but I wish they could be longer. I really liked what Mara did by using yoga to tease Trent. after which the book steamed up. In a way you didn't see much of Matt but I think Matt should get a little story for himself.

The Wedding DealThe Wedding Deal by Marie Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Though the cover looks erotic, this was a sweet read. If your a fan of the Harlequin Present books then you will surely like this book.

Andrew, who Tessa loves like a brother, commits tax fraud. She will do what she can to help save him so he won't end up in jail. Tessa turns to her grandfather for help; she also hates him with a passion because of her parents. With her grandfather refusing to help, he forces her into a marriage that she doesn't want in order to get what he wants. Alexis saw Tessa with her grandfather and wanted her as his wife. With her refusal, he then makes a deal with her grandfather to have her marry him and have his children. Once Alexis and Tessa starts enjoying what they have together, Tessa's grandfather starts telling lies to get what he wants from the happy couple.

This was more of a sweet romantic at times read for me. When Tessa was forced to become engaged to Alexis, she had a little rebellion side. But she quickly became inthralled with Alexis while he was romancing her before their wedding. Tessa is very independent and regular even though her grandfather is rich. Alexis just wanted a family that he never had growing up. He was sweet, caring and the hero in the books that makes you *sigh*.

Under the Cowboy's Control (Contemporary Western Romance, Texas)Under the Cowboy's Control by Lynda Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a wonderful story as well as my second book by the author within a day. She does make her male characters possessive and dominating, but its always driven by jealousy and a strong attraction to their female characters. And I find that likable.

Selena is an American and Mexican citizen, determined to find her grandparents in America after she loses her family. She leaves Mexico, to get away from the violence of the drugs. So she crosses the border into Texas with no money and just her bag pack. After a couple of rough days, she finds her self in Travis's barn. Travis is an ex rodeo star now self-made rancher. His has grown up without a mother and a drunken father. When Selena is discovered by the ranch hands, both Selena and Travis will build a relationship that both weren't expecting. Travis will become possessive and demanding and Selena will try not to lose herself.

This was a nice story and a bit sad in certain areas. I really felt sorry for Selena, when she was found and what she went through just tug at your heart. I admire the way Selena stood her ground sexually and mentally. Even though she stood her ground, it drove Travis crazy. To Travis, Selena was a walking temptation that eventually drove him to craziness, obsession and possessiveness. The only statement I didn't like, it got so obsessive for Travis that he said he wanted to see her barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen and bed. But Travis was a sweet heart and sexy. I laughed a few times at the ranch hands when they discovered Selena isn't a boy and can cook. I thought the Epilogue was so sweet and nice.

Perfect (Second Opportunities #2)Perfect by Judith McNaught
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

www.romancenoveljunkies.com

PERFECT was perfect with every written chapter, before i start writing about my thoughts on the book i love that the author touches on the foster system and literacy in children and adults..

My thoughts on this book was WOW, and this is my 3rd book from this author again her writing style was excellent in the way she includes all her characters in the book with everyone having an important role and also getting to know each character personally not just Zack and Julie. Even though Katherine and Ted wasn't the main characters of the book it was great getting to know them and their history together and see them fall in love all over again, Matt and Meredith Farrell, it was great reading about them again the author crossed them over from her novel PARADISE which is also a good book, and also getting to know Paul the F.B.I agent who also fell in love with Julie he was such a sweet heart but sorry Paul its all about Zack and there are more characters who you just fell in love with *smiling* won't be able to name everybody i loved in this book..

Now Zack and Julie I love their chemistry together from beginning to end well written the best part for me was Zack taking her hostage and their letters very romantic, emotional, exciting just everything you could possibly feel at that moment reading especially Zack's letter to Julie, everything was just PERFECT even the love scenes. This book is so in depth and detailed as the author shows her signature style in everything the characters, place and time. A job well done to Judith Mcnaught
Get this book you will love it and it will surely make you see how talented this author is and how wonderfully she writes,I thought it was so good it should have been written has a television movie its worth a PERFECT 10.

The Seduction of His Wife (Logger #1)The Seduction of His Wife by Janet Chapman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a good book for me sometimes Sarah made me get a are you for real look on my face but she was still likable along with Alex and the whole family,I am about to read the second book hope it is as good. This is the first read for me from this Author. I did like how the author incorporated her other romance novel in the story, the book Sarah was reading.

The only thing i don't like is that the story didn't need to be so many pages, i guess thats why some readers think some stories are being dragged out.

I was first iffy about the book but still bought it, and even though i had it it took me 2 months to get to it because i wasn't sure but IT WAS WORTH IT and the love scenes were amazing i had a little problem with the ending with Rico's sister still thought she should have been the one to confess...when you read the book you'll know what i mean...

Loved it read it in a day and can't wait to read the other brothers....

I love romance novels that have to do with kings, prince's & shiekhs its a little fantasy that helps you to get carried away.
This was a good book Maggie and Tomasso were greet together.. I thought it would be interesting to see Tomasso's older brother's(Claudio Scorsolini) story he and his wife (Therese) was acting a little weird in the book makes you think if their marriage is also a marriage of convenience even though they have been married for a while.....GET IT YOU'LL LOVE IT

The Winston Brothers (Winston Brothers, #1-3)The Winston Brothers by Lori Foster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In a compilation of anthology stories, Lori Fosters brings this family to life. The way Lori writes from a male point of view is incredible, and has me constantly guessing what these hero's will be up to next. With the Winston family, she has created a wonderful family, who you at times want to cuddle up and hug, and at others just reach out and smack them. LOL, and she's given them the perfect heroines. This is a not to be missed book, and it's follow up, by Wild, which is about the youngest Winston, will leave you craving even more.

Wild (Winston Brothers, #4)Wild by Lori Foster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

one word SEXXXXY....Oh boy, Lori Foster keeps getting better and better! I loved this book and it was fun to catch up with the rest of the Winston's. Zane is everything a woman could want, I know I did. What quirky characters and Tamara is just the woman for him. The book does stand alone, but is so much better when you've read about the other Winston brothers. Pick both the Winston's and Wild up and have yourselves a great read.

But ladies my friend forced me to read this and this book for me was like WOW...i didn't expect it to be soooo goood I love the story, the plot, the drama, the love scenes, the chemistry and the family.. THIS BOOK is a must read have whatever you want it to be but get the book and read it...

Remember WhenRemember When by Judith McNaught
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my fourth Judith Mcnaught book, while reading it I thought it was ok a good read its not like that WOW! feeling you get when a book is mind blowing like her other books PARADISE, PERFECT and WHITNEY MY LOVE. I'm not saying it should be like those books because if all her books were the same with the same plot it would be boring, for me personally it was a simple, nice cuddle in bed read.

The characters were great as always in her books, because as i said before you get to know her characters and you get to feel like your apart of their life and Diana's family was just so wonderful. Cole and Diana together it was fun growing up with them and having them finding each other some years later REMEMBERING WHEN........

If you decide to read this book i hope you enjoy it, it maybe ok but its still a good read and well written as the author shows her signature style writing.

GIVE THIS BOOK A TRY i have seen some of the reviews and hope you will give it a read. If you like the i was poor badboy wanting the rich girl, i can't have her but now i have money to buy her out, i mean you will like it. It's simple yes but has a sandra brown touch to it, keep in mind that you have a lot of stories about rich girl poor guy theme but it's how the author writes about it that makes a difference...This is one of my favorite books and hope you think of it as such

Dark Angel (Sister Brides, #4)Dark Angel by Lynne Graham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I actually like this book, i mean yes the hero was a bit over shadowing, obsessive & mentally abusive towards the heroine but i mean there is a good story underneath all of this and if you can bypass all of the qualities of the hero then you will like this book, meaning most romance novels has a over shadowing, obsessive & mentally abusive hero at times but underneath it all you always have a good story....

I am so in love with this book, can i just say that i feel so GUILTY in saying that i loved the daughter's story soooooo much even though she was 16 yrs old, i think the author did a great job touching on teenage love it was just right. Both mother and daughter were well written and thought out because to have written a story also about the 16 YEAR OLD daughter was excellent and unexpected and i wish the daughter's story could have continued on with another book with the daughter being older of course *smiling* ..THE BOOK WAS THAT GOOD. but can't forget the mother...JUST GET THE BOOK AND READ IT ITS WORTH THE BUY.....

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

TRUE STORY!!! I had this sitting on my book shelf for 3 years and never read it, not because i didn't have the time but because i thought it didn't sound interesting and wonder what can a romance author write within a 708 page book like come on seriously. BUT THEN I WANTED SOMETHING TO READ, soooo i was desperate and decided why not read the Big BOOK as i call it. But to my surprise O.M.G.!(O MY GOD) the book was really good couldn't put it down i wanted to finish it so bad just to find out what happen, from the start of the book it feels like your their growing up with the characters together getting to know them and going through their highs and lows with them and i found it so true what people say in their reviews its like you just don't want it to end, I actually was at the end of the book and felt a little disappointed because i was getting ready to turn the page and it was the end...GET IT...READ IT...TREASURE IT PARADISE it's one of those books THATS a keeper sorry it took me so long but it was worth the read i'm going to read WHITNEY, MY LOVE (read my review later on this book) I hear its just really good. Kinda scary when a romance author has a collection that has at least 90% of her books worth 5 stars some people might disagree but her reviews speak for them self THIS IS A GOOD BOOK..

If you do decide to get this book I hope you enjoy it as I did i know its 708pages but i think its worth a read...

Getting What You Want (Stepp Sisters Trilogy, #1)Getting What You Want by Kathy Love
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

let me just say I love this book i had a high expectation when i read the book description AND IT WAS WORTH IT!. I just love story lines that takes you through high school, when the girl is always in love with the badboy and years later has great chemistry. This was my first novel by kathy love that I have read and surely not the last because i have read the rest of the series and ladies get all three books its worth it, its rear to have an author writes a series and have every book in that series be as good as the last one. Chase and Abby are unforgettable in this book GETTING WHAT YOU WANT, this is really a fantasy to unravel in and enjoy.

First book by the author and i'm getting my feet wet and warmed up. Jenna and Andy gel together in a unusual way. Jenna is trying to survive on her own and doesn't have the time of day for dating espesically a football player she only has time for work, Andy he was full of witty remarks kinda made me laugh at some of his comebacks in saying that I liked the book I got really into it some parts got a little slow at times then it picked back up but I still fell In Love with the book as I read on . In a way it kind of reminds me of the movie with Sandra Bullock(love potion#9). I would encourage to give the book a try as this is my opinion on how I felt while reading it.

I wasn't sure I wanted to read this book, but I did and it isn't bad. The cover surely caught my eyes first. While reading the book I definitely was going back and forth on how I felt about the book but I came to the conclusion that is just a cute read. The intimacy isn't extreme with what I'm use to but the story was sweet. While reading I keep forgetting they were in college, but they are still grown enough, 22 yrs. It didn't bother me though because they surely seem mature.

Alex and Kevin have been best friends since kindergarten and they’ve never seen each other as more than that. Kevin will inherit a large sum of money. All he has to do is marry someone. The woman he picks to marry is Tammy, what a troll. As it gets close to the wedding date Kevin starts to see that Alex is the one he wants to marry. With the help of friends pushing Alex towards Kevin both became explosive once they were together.

While reading, I did enjoy there friends, Greg and Camden cracked me up. They always hang out together with Alex and Kevin. Nita is Alex's best friend , she helps to vamp up Alex's looks to get her out of her Tom boy phase. And then there is Trent, sexy bad boy Trent, who help Alex to make Kevin jealous. As I said before, I wasn't sure about this read, I was feeling maybe a 3 star read but as I continued the story really grew on me. The humor had me smiling and it's softer than what I'm use to but all the characters were lovable. ******Reviewed by (Romance Novel Junkies Book Reviews) LIKE us on fb as well as join our group which includes author's and readers Romance Novel Junkies has 550+ members.

Blackmailed Into Bed by Lynda Chance
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I think I found one of my new favorite author. I love her writing style granted this is my first book. I have the other two books on standby ready to read. I'm not sure if the author has an email or if she communicates with her fans because I was looking forward to reading her bio at the end of the book but didn't see one. With the title I really thought it would be more of a Harlequin Present kind of book, but it's more that that times ten.

Jake is a police officer. He has wanted Amy for months, but was unable to do anything about it because he was under the impression that she is married. On a night when Amy was going out to meet her friends, her car stalls on her late at night. She sees a car pulling up behind her and realizes it was Jake, the guy that she wants to not get involve with. During this encounter, Jake realizes that Amy, isn't married and tries to blackmail her with a breaking the law tactic. Amy, has been divorced for five years with a teenage daughter. She has been lusting for Jake for ten weeks but wants to keep him at a safe distance. But after a night with Jake, as hard as she tries she is unable to keep him at arms length.

This is my cup of tea when it comes to reading. I very much enjoyed the read and both characters. Jake was a very dominating presence and may have been controlling at times, but it was more of a sexual controlling more of the times. He was such a sexy read for me. He really really wanted and cared for Amy, that it came off very possessive and obsessive, he was driven by both. But I really didn't mind because you sense how much Amy wanted him as well.Amy, was very shy and maybe naive at times but she still held her ground at times. These two physically steamed up my read. The blackmail lasted a night, then both took the relationship to another level from there on. Even with a physical relationship, Amy still wanted to keep her distance emotionally.

You know those reads where the guy is so sexy you just want to rip him from the pages and say to him, where have you been and just have you wicked way with me already, that's Jack.

Update: I wanted to point out that the Book Seduce by The American Millionaire/ The Mobster and the Soccer Mom by Lynda Chance is the first book in this 3 book series. It's about 3 divorced friends who decided to meet up for a night together but all got detoured. This is book 2 and can't wait for book 3.

If I could give this book more then 5 stars I would. Casey, is the long awaited followup to the Buckhorn Series. Casey is the son of Sawyer. He most definitely is a chip off the old block. This book takes you back to the ending of Jordan's book, when Emma Clark appears at the Hudson family home. You find out what happens to Emma that night and then the story picks up 8 years later when Emma comes back home to Buckhorn. Emma fights her attraction tooth and nail with Casey. But when she finally gives in to her desires, it is amazing. This book will make you laugh, cry and swoon. It is a wonderful read and a fantastic ending to the series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Now I know I gave this book 3 stars but I liked it draws you In From the moment you start reading. Kad I was kind of wireded out with the 5 wives thing but it goes well with this story . Loved Varene, they are both from fueding sides but needed her help to heal his people who are sick but with all the issues they face they seem to connect with each other and the rest they say is history. Like I said not a bad read but it wasnt a great read for me also. The author incorporated a lot of elements in this story even though it had an aribian feel to it.

PS: it's a very long read so if your tolerance is low then it's not for you, I'm only saying that because you know some readers might say it took too long to connect or get into.
